The Four
The Four plays with space and type to create a visually interesting editorial piece that celebrates the ancient Gaelic festivals of Imbolc, Beltane, Lughnasadh, and Samhain.
The year revolved around two main points; the first is the harvest since the Gaels were an agricultural society. The Gaels had in-depth knowledge about the alignment of the sun and stars, which had great significance for them. Their calendar was neatly divided up into four quarters, with a festival to celebrate reaching each one
Like trick-or-treating on Halloween, many of our traditions come from Gaelic folklore our ancestors would have been exposed to. What was their story? This book aims to entice people to recreate the sense of community the Gaelic people shared. Through knowing our past, we can understand the future.
